Indications: Euphrasia is a chief remedy for many eye conditions like conjunctivitis, cataract, eye allergies, glandular swellings and granular eyelids. It suits to catarrhal conjunctivitis with ulceration and opacity of cornea. There is sensation of dryness, burning and biting in the eyes. The eyes water all the time which is copious and acrid. Profuse acrid lachrymation with profuse bland coryza. The eyes are agglutinated in the morning. Euphrasia also helps in granular eye lids. Margins of lids are red, swollen and burning and also very sensitive to touch. It also helps in violent itching of eyes leading to rubbing and winking. Also useful in fine rashes about the eyes with puffiness of lids and blurred vision. There may also be cutting pain in eyes which extend to head, pressure in eyes as if caused by sand.
