Indications: Rxhomeo® Lachesis is a chief remedy for many female complaints and especially suitable for the problems of menopause. The patient says, has never been well since that time, that is since menopause. It is useful in inflammation of left ovary, cellular tissue and engorgement of veins giving purple and mottled appearance. There are hot flushes and hot perspiration during menopause. Extremes of heat and cold causes great debility. There may be hemorrhoids, burning vertex and headache during menopause. It also helps in menstrual troubles. Lachesis is also useful in headache in drunkards due to alcoholism. Headache with high blood pressure. Headache usually on left side or it may start at left and go to the right side of the head. There is a sensation as if all the blood has gone towards the head. Congestive type of headache with pressing and bursting pain in temples. Head is very sensitive to touch. Headache worse from motion, pressure and after sleep and is relieved by menstrual flow.
Lachesis also helps in sore throat. It is especially indicated in tonsillitis and diphtheria. There is soreness, dryness and constriction in the throat. Dark purple appearance of the membrane. There is a sensation of lump settled in the throat. When swallowing throat is very sensitive to touch. Taking liquid is more painful than solid.
