Indications: Rxhomeo® Stannum Metallicum is a chief remedy for many respiratory problems. Left side of the chest is predominantly affected. There is empty all gone sensation in the chest with profound weakness and soreness of the chest. Pain is of stitching type with oppressive and short respiration. There is voilent dry cough which comes in paroxysms of three. Cough is deep, hollow, shattering, strangling in nature. There is rawness and soreness in larynx and trachea with smarting sensation all the way down when coughing. There is accumulation of great quantity of mucus in trachea, easily thrown off by coughing. Expectoration is profuse like white of an egg. Cough is worse from talking, singing, laughing, lying on right side and drinking anything warm. Stannum Metallicum is also useful in hoarseness. There is hoarseness with loss of voice. Vocal cords do not respond and talking makes the patient week. Stannum Metallicum also helps in warding off pulmonary tuberculosis.
Stannum Metallicum is also useful in abdominal colic. Pain around naval with empty and all gone sensation in abdomen and chest. Cramp like pain begins lightly and increases gradually to the highest point and gradually decreases. Naussea and vomiting from the odour of cooking food. Colic is worse from drinking anything warm and better by hard pressure and lying on abdomen.
Stannum Metallicum is also helpful in menstrual disorders. Menses too early and too profuse. During menses there is pain in the vagina shooting upwards with great weakness. Pain is worse while dressing in the morning, patient has to sit down several times to rest. Stannum Metallicum is also indicated in leucorrhoea which is transparent, yellowish with considerable weakness.
